Media Player Classic Home Cinema is a version of the original Media Player Classic that features several interesting news and that pretends to relaunch an application that has not been updated for two years.

One of the most important new features offered by Media Player Classic Home Cinema is the one named tearing effect: whentwo video windows overlap each other due to the different updating frequency rate of the monitor and video card.

Media Player Classic Home Cinema includes new video codecs, such as H.264 or VC-1 that support DXVA or Direct Video Acceleration. It has also powered up Vista compatibility.
